Whitewater Photography

In addition to exposing me to Photography at a young age, my father was also a part time River Guide in the early 80’s and I grew up rafting with my family in our Riken River Rider 15 bucket boat. My love for the river is an intense as my love for photography so it seems only natural to combine the two.

As a rafter I know how difficult it is to get good quality photos of yourself on the river. In this era of GoPro’s and Drones it has become more accessible, but High Quality photos that can be printed and hung on a wall are still in short supply.

Last year I spent Memorial Day Weekend at Lochsa Falls in Idaho to take photos of my many rafting friends that I have met thru years of rafting there. I decided to not limit myself to taking only photos of the people I knew but of everyone I could.

Below is a small selection of the 15,000 photos I took that weekend. I am working on a plan to make the best photos from last year available for download and print by St. Patty’s Day this year.

I also am planning on spending this Memorial Day Weekend taking photos and making them available soon after. So please tell your friends, share my page and spread the word.

Please bear with me as I work on this plan and check back for updates.
